Scroll Wheel Tips - Pro Tools Quick Tips


Your mouse scroll wheel can be very useful in Pro Tools and help to speed up your workflow.

Of course you can scroll up and down, but did you know you could scroll horizontally, zoom horizontally, zoom audio and MIDI vertically, adjust clip gain and much more by using just the scroll wheel and a couple keys on your keyboard?

Hold SHIFT and scroll to scroll horizontally.

Continuously ZOOM Horizontally
ALT and Scroll (Windows)

Option and Scroll (Mac)

Continuously Vertical ZOOM Audio
ALT+Shift and Scroll (Windows)

Option+Shift and Scroll (Mac)

Scroll MIDI Notes Display Up or Down
Ctrl+Start+ALT and Scroll (Windows)

Ctrl+Option+Command and Scroll (Mac)

Adjust Clip Gain Up or Down
First select the clip, then

Start+Shift and Scroll (Windows)

Control+Shift and Scroll (Mac)
